Son Vida Golf course is Majorca's first and most celebrated course. It was designed by Fred Hawtree in 1964 and renovated in 2001 by Kurt Rossknecht. It's famed for its broad fairways and breathtaking views over the bay of Palma de Majorca. At 6,125 yards it is short by modern standards, but it is known for its sweeping doglegs and its dramatic closing hole - a par 5 where a second shot over water appeals to the gambler in everyone.
